Indian-owned manufacturers will drive growth

After a little slowing in the wake of the global credit crunch, domestic manufacturers will drive the next phase of growth in India, says Erik van de Ven of Philip’s owned equipment supplier Assembleon. “There’s a growing market for higher level Indian companies coming up, " says van de Ven, Senior Director for the Asia Pacific territory, “It’s not as fast as you might expect but with the Indian economy growing as fast as it does and all the local manufacturing here I’m sure it will continue in 2009”
